Religious  Rituals  performing in the Devasthanam.

                    Periodical festivals are being performed in the above temple as per usage and custom commencing from Ugadi festival every year.

Water works:

                      There are two water tanks at up hill. The Municipal water is being lifted to the above two water tanks by up lifting through Motor.  Pipe lines are arranged for distribution of water from the afore said tanks continuously. Drinking water taps are arranged at up hill as well as through out Ghat Road. One Assistant Engineer is kept incharge of the water works Division. The pilgrims are given Drinking water through pipes around the clock.

Electrical Division:

                   There is one 75 K.V. Generator for the use when every the power fails at up hill, without giving any interruption of power continuously. The staff in Electrical Division are discharging duties around the clock.

Security Arrangements made:

                   Security arrangements are made in the temple at up hill by deploying S.P.F. personnel, Home Guards and private security Guards.

         The special protection force personal were allotted duties at the following important points around the clock.

2)        Home Guards:

About 20 Home Guards are deployed to the temple along with S.P.F. personnel to safe Guard the temple in giving security to the visiting pilgrims. They are allotted duties at the following points.

                1.  Durga Bathing Ghat

                2.  Toll gate

                3.  Om Turning

                4. “Q” lines at entrance of Rs.5/-, Rs.25/-, Free Darsan. The Home Guards are deployed for duties in 3 shifts.

(3)   O.P.D.S.S., Vijayawada (Private Security Force):

          The services of O.P.D.S. Security forces are deploying in the temple for guarding the properties of temple and giving security to the visiting Devotees. There are 90+2 O.P.D.S.S.people are deployed to the temple. They are allotted duties at various points as a measure of security.

Sanitation

          The above Devasthanam is taking effective steps for proper Sanitation at all important points i.e. Durga Bathing Ghat, Temple premises at up hill and other points. There are 43 Regular staff in the cadre of Sweepers and 66 Contract members are rendering service for cleaning of the temple premises at up hill and at Durga Bathing Ghat in down hills. All precautionary steps are being taken to keep the temple premises clean and neat continuously. Separate staff from the cadre of Superintendent to Record Assistant are allotted duties for supervision of the Sanitation work by the Sweepers and other contract members.

Free Medical Aid Centre

          A Free Medical Aid centre is kept by the side of S.B.I.Counter at up hill to give Medical assistance to the visiting pilgrim who fell in to injury and ill health. One Ambulance is arranged for carrying out the patients if necessary to other Big Hospitals.

            The Medical Aid Centre is kept open from  7.00 A.M. to 9.00 P.M. One M.B.B.S.Doctor and one R.M.P. Doctor are discharging the duties in two shifts along with one Nurse.

Educational Institution

Smartha Patasala

          The above Devasthanam is running a Smartha Patasala from the year 2005 with 50 students. They are being provided Boarding and Lodging facilities to the students including supply of cloth to them on dew id xiar.  The students are learning Smartha Agamam. There is one principal and Adyapakas in the Sanskrit School.

Transport.

            The Devasthanam is running Mini Buses from up hill to Railway station, Bus station and Ramvarappadu for convenience to the visiting pilgrims from 4.00 A.M. to 9.00 P.M. One Assistant Engineer is kept incharge of transport Division for running of temple Buses regularly with out any interruption and without causing any inconvenience to the Devotees. Most of the Devotees are making use of the service of Mini Buses of the Devasthanam.

 Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Vijayawada.

Note on implementation of the R.T.I Act in Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada.

1. General :-

The R.T.I Act is implementing the provision of R.T.A Act in Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Vijayawada since 07/2006. There are one P.I.O and one A.A.s are functioning in the above Devastahanm for furnishing of information requested by the petitioners after received the requisite fees of Rs. 10/- by way of Demand Draft or cheque etc. the P.I.O of the above Devasthanam is being furnished the required information sought by the petitioners after obtaining the information from the concerned.

So far 21 applications have been received and 18 applications have been disposed. There is balance of 3 applications where in information is to be furnished and the information will be furnished soon after receiving the information from the concerned.   

There is one A.A.S to Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Vijayawada. The Executive Officer is the administrative authority of the Devasthanam. No first appeals have been received till from the petitioners. Hence there are no first appeals pending in the Devastahanam.

2. Implementation of Sec 4(1) (b) of R.T.I. Act:-

          The above Devastahanam is implementing the provision of 4(1) (b) of R.T.I Act. Information already prepared and kept in website for public. If public wants to know the particulars they can open website www.durgamma.com.The Devastahanam is maintaining a register showing the details of applications received from the public and their disposed. Necessary boards are errected in the temple premises.

3. Whether petitioners of Sec 5(1) & (2) have been implemented:-

          The provision U/s 5(1) and (2) of R.T.I Act are implementing in             Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Vijayawada. The Executive Officer is the Administrative officer of the Devastahanam. So, One responsible officer in the rank of Asst Commissioner and Asst Executive Officer is appointed as P.I.O to look in to the matter of furnishing of information required by the public. regarding administrative section. In respect of Engineering Section the Executive Engineer is appointed as P.I.O. to look into the matter of furnishing of information.

          The P.I.O. s of the above Devasthanam is furnishing the information to the applicants after obtaining the required information from the concerned officials.

4) Quartly Returns:-

          Quartrly returns are being submitted to the Commissioner, Endowments Department, Hyderabad in the proforma after completion of each quarter.

          The quarterly return for the period from 1-7-2010 to 30-9-2010 has been submitted to the Commissioner, Endowment Department, Hyderbad in this office RC No. P.I.O/3712/2006 dt:22-10-2010. (copy enclosed)

5) Atrocities / Harrashments / Physical intimation on R.T.I. Activities

          No applications have been received in this office from the public about the  Atrocitities/ Harrashments/ Physical Intimation on R.T.I. activities.

6) 2^nd Appeals & complaints

          No 2^nd appeals & complaints have been received so far from the commencement of the R.T.I. Act to the above Devasthanam.
